High-Capacity Bandwidth Set For Summer
Posted May 9th, 2008Owned by the Boy Scouts of America, but soon to catapult Washington County into a new phase of technological growth, Black Cap Mountain and its towers signal new beginnings for Downeast Maine.
"Bangor is the largest, closest hub to get what we need. We’ve leased tower access on Black Cap Mountain, located just outside of Bangor, to bring high-capacity broadband into Washington County," said Nelson Geel, Axiom’s chief operating officer. Solving Rural Maine's Bandwidth Issues
Posted March 4th, 2007Axiom Technologies is committed to bringing adequate bandwidth to Washington County. We are working with the ConnectME Authority, a board established by Governor Baldacci in August 2006 to increase the telecommunications in rural Maine. The core purpose of Axiom's Bandwidth Project is enabling high technology data and telecom services in Washington County. Currently, the products available, types of service, capabilities of those networks and overall impact on local economy and quality of life are limited. read more »
Introducing the Axiom Business Center

It is a collaborative effort between Washington County’s business sector, social service and governmental agencies and educational institutions with a goal of changing the economic climate for the “common good”.
