Cool Music to Heat Our Homes
Hi, my name is Faye Mack and my husband, Matt Bauman, and I own the Fat Cat Deli & Pizzeria on Main Street in Machias. We have always been concerned about our neighbors in Washington County, but recently we have become extremely concerned with those who may have to go without heat for part of this winter due to the lack of fuel assistance. Living in Washington County, we are aware that we are all hurting a little in the wallet with fuel prices the way they are, but there are many more that are not just hurting, they are going without. We feel, as a community, we owe it to our friends and neighbors to do what we can to help.
The Fat Cat Deli & Pizzeria and it’s employee’s will be putting on a fundraiser, where all donations will go into a fund to help those in Washington County who need fuel assistance. We will be hosting a Rock-A-Thon, but not in the traditional sense…no rocking chairs here! On February 9th we will be having what we call “Cool Music to Heat Our Homes”, we will have live music from 8pm- 1am, and “Rocking” into the night. All of our staff will be donating their time and only working for tips. Several different local musicians will be donating their skills and time as well; playing in shifts for five hours straight.
This is where you come in! We’re asking for your support. We want you to help us spread the word! Tell everyone you know…actually tell everyone, even if you don’t know them. Stop in on Feb. 9th and enjoy the music, and support our community. We hope to see you there!
Any questions feel free to contact us. Faye Mack or Matt Bauman 255-6777, fatcatdeli at hotmail dot com, or stop in and see us at 50 Main St in Machias. Thank you for your time.
